Transformational Leadership Style and Employee Performance in some Selected Table Water Companies in Gombe Metropolis

Abstract
The study examined the effect of Transformational leadership style on employees’
performance in some selected table water companies in Gombe metropolis. The specific
objectives of the study include: to examine the Transformational leadership style on employee
performance in some selected table water companies in Gombe metropolis; to identify
whether Transformational leadership style affects employee performance in ways of some
selected companies in Gombe Metropolis. Moreover, the study adopted exclusive criteria;
because the study reviewed only recent studies from 2019-2023, that is a period of five (5)
years that reported on leadership styles and employee performance. However, the study used
the exclusive criteria in order to have updated results that were conducted within the same
pattern of economic hardship and to have a conciseness for better understanding of readers.
Data was also gathered through the means of review and analysed through identifying the
outcome of the reviewed studies based on the majority. Therefore, the study found that there
is a significant effect of Transformational leadership style on employee performance in some
selected table water companies in Gombe metropolis. Additionally, based on the findings, the
study therefore recommends the following: Organisations should practice Transformational
leadership style to enhance employee performance.
